Default Where'd my NPC go?

I was in the middle of a quest, picked up the appropriate NPC and before reaching my correct destination mistakenly walked into a town portal, losing the NPC.

Now when I look at my quest log it still shows that I have to take the NPC to the correct destination but she is longer in my company.

Should I continue the quest as the throbbing green star dictates or should I abandon the quest and start from scratch picking up the NPC again?

Thanks in advance.

when you enter into the appropriate zone again the green throbby star should highlight the NPC again - you'll need to go and talk to them again and lead them wereever - if its a portal just stand by the portal and wait for them to enter it before you go in this will update the quest log appropriately....(if its that type of quest)

The NPC is not highlighted when I enter the zone, she's gone and the green star beckons me to the next destination.

I just don't want to fight my way all the way there and find out that the quest can't be completed because I didn't have the NPC with me.

Me thinks I would rather abandon the quest and start from scratch.

if I knew which quest you were doing I could probably be of more help in this situation...

or as you said just abandon the quest and start again....although you would have to fight your way to the NPC again ANYWAY

Here's the cold hard facts: If you zoned too early, you screwed up, and will have to go back to pick the npc up again. There is no workaround for that. Whether you abandon the quest will not save you one bit of time, unless you can't remember where the npc was picked up. Get it done and move on... no big deal.

That's cool, I've pretty much resigned myself to doing that.
I just don't understand why the quest log doesn't reflect my screw up.

Head to Ironhorse Mines, Cynn will be just on the other side of the portal. In this quest, it doesn't matter if you've zoned to another area, Cynn will be in the right spot when you get there.

Thanks for the information. I haven't been on and I don't think I abandoned the quest yet.
